Spring 2013 Production
PLEASE NOTE THAT TICKETS FOR THE FRIDAY NIGHT PERFORMANCE ARE ALMOST COMPLETELY SOLD OUT.
Park Players will be presenting "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. We will be presenting this play on May 2, 3 & 4, 2013 at the Rene Veillet Centre. Doors open at 7:30 pm and the play will begin at 8:00 pm.
In a play set in the 19th century, Jack Worthing and Algernon Moncrieff both attempt to win the hearts of the girls of their dreams, Gwendolin Fairfax and Cecily Cardew respectively, by pretending to be the ever popular Ernest. The problem is that Ernest does not really exist, or does he? Jack and "Algy" battle to see who will be the one to win the right to the name of Ernest and in consequence, the right to the hand in marriage of their beloved. Follow along as the plot twists and turn its way to the surprising ending.
Oscar Wilde created one of the most delightful and memorable social comedies, with The Importance of Being Earnest. It's a comedy of manners that satirizes Victorian manners and customs, but he does it with a light, witty style that's absolutely unforgettable.
Tickets are $10.00 for adults, $8.00 for children (under 18 yrs.) and seniors.
Tickets can be purchased at the door or reserved in advance by calling 450-678-5315.
